AMEN was founded in 1992, as an ecumenical, non-profit providing food assistance to residents of Fayette County.

AMEN operates solely on contributions and/or donations received from churches, organizations, groups, and individuals. There are currently 13 churches which supply volunteers that staff the pantry on a weekly basis.

Client applications are screened by interviewers to determine the assistance needed. AMEN is a Partner Affiliate with the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. This food bank distributes an average of 15 million pounds of food per year, to more than 370 non-profit agencies in 21 Central Texas Counties.

The children of First Presbyterian Church collect donations

every Sunday to begin our church service.

AMEN Workdays

The current schedule is every Monday from 9-12 during the pandemic.

A different church provides staffing each week.
