The days of King Ahaz are long gone by the time Isaiah's prophetic heir pens these words. The people are scattered and the way back... to home, to normal, to a place of belonging... is no longer straight forward. Yet God is still at work. The relief is so great that the prophet's words take on the beauty of poetry and answered prayer. God is paving the way where there has been no way, and to God's people it will be a journey of everlasting joy!
