Description
In our nation, we are immersed in the language of freedom and celebrate it as one of our highest values. Yet Paul is making distinctions between the freedom that the world prizes and the freedom to which we are called. We understand the hard truth that "freedom is not free." We can also recognize the great cost at which God cultivates us in freedom. We might ask with Paul, What is the purpose of the freedom we've been given?
