Description
Paul sits on death row in a Roman jail house. In these words to Timothy, he speaks a few final words. I'm struck that there is no regret in them. Paul has made peace with his past. He is reconciled to his present. He has hope for the future, his own and the future of the church. I wonder what we hear in his words... Might we hear the tender longing that accompanies blessed assurance?
