Description
We recognize the opening words of Psalm 22, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus will speak them from the cross and the end of the psalm seems to speak to its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. This psalm is a lament and yet, as do most laments, this psalm turns to sing God's praise. When do we praise God? This psalm suggests that there is no time like the present—no matter the circumstance.
