Jesus advises his apostles to go out in pairs and trust that they will have what they need to spread God's love and message of repentance. He also prepares them for potential rejection, such as when he preaches in his hometown of Nazareth and is rejected by the townspeople. Jesus tells them to "shake off the dust that is on your feet" if they face rejection.
