Jesus encounters a man born without sight stirring his disciples to theological debate. They equate physical blindness with sin, what Jesus sees is the man's need for healing. His neighbors, marveling at the man's restored sight, take him to the Pharisees who interrogate the miracle. Despite eyewitness testimony, they refuse to acknowledge Jesus as healer, as miracle-worker, as prophet; none so blind as those who will not see. Blindness was not a sin, but turning a spiritual blind eye IS. And, I wonder what are the blinders we wear in our day?
