We are hearing Jesus' farewell address. The words are familiar because we hear them so often as words of comfort during funerals. Yet, there is more... Jesus tells them (and us) Don't let your hearts get stirred or shaken up, trust God, trust me. In my Father's family, there is ample room. If that wasn't the case, I would have told you so. I'm going to make ready your opportunity... Jesus speaks words of belonging, and invites us to follow in his Way, the Way of discipleship, presenting and representing God to the world around us.
