Joshua leads a covenant renewal ceremony, carefully rehearsing God's saving grace that has sustained the people in the wilderness and brought them into the land of promise. His challenge to the people, "choose this day whom you will serve" hits the mark. Each day, and every moment in it we have a choice of God's way—as demonstrated in the obedience, faithfulness, love, and mercy of Jesus Christ—or the way that leads us back into the wilderness. How do we choose?
