Yet, in this story, the tribal leaders of Israel successfully defend against Jabin, the king of the Canaanites. But this story is once again about a people being taught to trust in God's providential care. The victory comes because God has once again anointed the unlikely to do the improbable so that all will know the victory belongs to God. |
