First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange Texas

We welcome Sallie Sampsell Watson, General Presbyter of Mission Presbytery as a guest preacher on Sunday. Sallie grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and was nurtured in her faith at Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church. She holds the Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College, the Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, the Doctor of Ministry degree in Preaching from the Association of Chicago Theological Schools through McCormick Theological Seminary, and the honorary Doctor of Divinity from Austin College. Sallie was honored in 2019 to be named a Distinguished Alumna of Austin Seminary.
     Sallie and her husband Paul worship at Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, where Paul serves as the Clerk of Session. They share their lives with their two grown children, Alex and Meredith, and also serve as staff for Ruby the Cat. In her spare time, she enjoys reading nonfiction and biographies, curating an eclectic music collection,
